Apples, Apples, Apples

I decided against graphite to try digital drawing on a tablet for the apples mini proj. 

Re-Imagined Breadth Proj

This piece is inspired by Michael McKibben's anthropomorphic romance,  as it includes sexual tension, an "upside-down" aspect, and animals and humans joined together. Every stroke was done digitally on Photoshop with my mouse, as Michael requested. To mimic his work, I also included strong places of texture (line and pattern) as well as a simple background. This simplicity allows the picture to feel almost like a fantasy rather than reality--something additional I found visually strong in Michael's work.

Mid-Progress Critique

For this project, I am re-imagining Michael's anthropomorphic romance in digital drawing, but with a 'spiderman kiss' spin. Obviously I still have a lot of work left to do, and digital drawing takes a lot of time, but I'm excited to have gotten this project.
